Location was perfect for the train traveler since hotel is right next door to the Bahnhof. The luggage storage was GREAT as I could leave my bags and start wandering around Schwerin right away. Hotel was not air conditioned but luckily it was not THAT hot while I was there. Lighting in the room was actually pretty good. Schwerin is a fairly small town with a MAGNIFICENT castle which also now serves as the Parliament Building for the state of Mecklinburg-West Pomerania. I highly recommend a visit to this beautiful castle which is also illuminated at night while I was there.

A standard hotel with a slightly outdated 1990s charm - but the location is good, it was squeaky clean, the beds were comfortable and the staff was absolutely brilliant, everyone was genuinely friendly, cheerful and super-helpful. We usually prefer smaller, more individual hotels, and only chose this one because it was the only hotel that still had rooms available - but it turned out to be an enjoyable stay because of the lovely staff.
